We know that different animals and plants can make big differences for different types of wetlands. We also know that some plants can make big impacts to wetlands. For example, small fruited bulrush is a great habitat for salamanders and frogs, swamp current is good for humming birds, while fox sedge is tall, pretty and can tolerate drought. This shows that some plants can make an impact on a wetland by attracting useful, helpful and environmentally friendly animals. Another way animals and plants can make good impacts on wetlands are for example, frogs and salamanders have an important role as they help small fruited bulrush to clean the bodies of water that they live in. This shows that the animals and plants that live in wetlands help each other out to reduce the pollutants in all types of wetlands. Another example is that there are some friendly animals such as the mallard duck, mallard ducks eat the weed in the pond that suffocates other life, they help clean the ponds by doing it this shows that many animals no matter how big or how small they are, they can still help to clean the wetland they may call home. If every wetland had these kinds of plants and animals we think they would turn out to be very successful, and remember, there are tons more plants and animals out there we haven’t included that can also help a lot. The photo bellow has a list of some plants that can also help the wetland.
